Community of Practice

The exchange of knowl­edge with­in the CNAI depends direct­ly on the network’s activ­i­ties. The CNAI encour­ages and facil­i­tates inter­ac­tive exchange between organ­i­sa­tions in the net­work as part of its active exchange of knowl­edge service.

A com­mu­ni­ty of prac­tice (CoP) brings togeth­er peo­ple fac­ing sim­i­lar chal­lenges, who are ready to learn from each oth­er. This type of com­mu­ni­ty can be seen as an organ­ised group of peo­ple with a com­mon inter­est in a par­tic­u­lar sub­ject. Its aim is to exchange infor­ma­tion, devel­op know-how and make an active con­tri­bu­tion to broad­en­ing gen­er­al knowl­edge in the field of AI. This approach includes infor­mal meet­ings, infor­ma­tion ses­sions, sem­i­nars, con­fer­ences and hackathons.

Any­one inter­est­ed in AI or who has knowl­edge in this field can reg­is­ter with the CNAI’s grow­ing CoP, and fol­low the webi­na­rs in the Data Sci­ence and AI for the Pub­lic Good series, organ­ised by the Data Sci­ence Com­pe­tence Cen­ter (DSCC).

Reg­u­lar meet­ings, inter­nal to the fed­er­al admin­is­tra­tion, are organ­ised with­in the scope of the Com­mu­ni­ty of Prac­tice for Data Sci­ence and Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence (DS&AI CoP). As soon as pos­si­ble, we plan to expand the CoP and to organ­ise oth­er meet­ings enabling all stake­hold­ers to dis­cuss top­ics rel­e­vant to them, even at inter­na­tion­al level.

Detailed illus­tra­tion

The CNAI also sup­ports the Plate­forme Tri­par­tite for dig­i­tal gov­er­nance and arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence in Switzer­land (admin.ch), which pro­motes an open and inclu­sive dia­logue to bring all stake­hold­ers togeth­er and gives all inter­est­ed par­ties the oppor­tu­ni­ty to take part in dis­cus­sions on the top­ic of AI.

Community of Practice for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI CoP)

The Com­mu­ni­ty of Prac­tice for Data Sci­ence and Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence (DS&AI CoP) is part of the fed­er­al data sci­ence strat­e­gy, and was set up by the Data Sci­ence Com­pe­tence Cen­ter (DSCC). This com­mu­ni­ty of prac­tice brings togeth­er peo­ple work­ing with data sci­ence meth­ods and AI with­in the fed­er­al admin­is­tra­tion to offer them a con­struc­tive space for knowl­edge exchange and collaboration.
